DIRECTOR

Steve has been in the motor industry all his working life. Starting as an apprentice mechanic at 16 (working on Allegros and Metros!) he subsequently moved into sales and quickly became the youngest Mercedes-Benz dealer principal in the country, a position in which he excelled. Having achieved all his goals within the PLC world he started Auriga Cars in June 2008 and Dronfield Auto Bodies in October 2022. Steve is married with two teenage children, a Labrador and enjoys socialising, running, skiing and all things cars.

DIRECTOR

Nick graduated from Sheffield with an LLB Honours law degree and trained to be a barrister before joining the industry in 1994. Initially in car sales, his career subsequently involved consultancy work with both manufacturers and dealer groups before re-joining the retail environment. He established Auriga Cars and Dronfield Auto Bodies with Steve and has thoroughly enjoyed every step in the company’s growth. Married with two grown up children, cars and classics are his obsession and he also loves socialising and travel.

PANEL BEATER & PAINT SPRAYER

Brandon left school to go to Chesterfield college where he achieved all 3 levels of vehicle body repair and welding, along with paint and refinishing. Since leaving college he has always worked within the industry and is well known within the area for his high level of workmanship, happy to get stuck into a full resto project or paint a nearly new vehicle, as long as his Bluetooth speaker is nearby he’s happy! Brandon is married to Chelsea who must have the patience of a saint for how many projects he takes on.

Richard joined Dronfield Auto Bodies in 2023 bringing with him over 30 years’ experience of repairing and painting vehicles to the operation. Over those years he has refinished everything from brand new prestige vehicles to classic cars, and everything in between, even horse boxes. A highly skilled individual, Richard is a pleasure to work with, always happy in his work he never fails to rise to the challenge presented to him. As with most of the DAB and Auriga team he’s a petrolhead. A mad-keen biker, it doesn’t matter if it has an engine or pedals, he will still be coming past you! That said he is happily married to Joanne and a proud dad and family man with two teenage daughters to keep him in check.

John has years of experience in all things paint, you name it and he has probably painted one. After initially starting out in the motor trade bodyshops, he then diversified and spent many years in specialist coatings and finishings. A local Dronfield chap, he joined DAB in July 2025 and its fair to say he’s a great team player and an asset to the team, even better he’s not shy with the kettle. A married family man with adult children and dad to two mutts he loves a pint, eating and getting away to the sun, sea and sand.

Jake joined DAB in October 2024 as a new apprentice and it’s fair to say that from starting with no previous  bodyshop experience his ability and skill set have romped on at  great pace. He has demonstrated a real aptitude for what is a very complicated role and has very quickly become an valued and integral part of the team. Going forward, we are all excited to see and be part of his future development.  A local Dronfield lad who clearly has a passion for cars, particularly fast ones and ones that make lots of noise he also enjoys socialising with family and friends.
